Eating low calorie density foods, such as fruits, veggies, legumes and whole grains.

Set a reasonable calorie deficit and eat a reasonably nutritious diet consisting of foods you enjoy. Bonus points for mixing in a reasonable amount of exercise.

Aside from water weight loss in the beginning, keto doesn't make you lose weight any faster than any other diet of equivalent calories.

The weight drops with a calorie deficit. That’s it. Keto will have you losing more water weight in the beginning due to consuming fewer carbs, but after the first few weeks your actual rate of loss will be similar to other diets. And yes, that water weight will return if you go off keto, but you won’t gain any fat again provided you’re eating at or below maintenance.

For me I just stuck to eating appropriate quantities of the foods I already enjoyed, within my calorie goal, focusing primarily on nutrient dense items. I’m a person for whom restrictions such as keto would have me binging sooner or later, so I stick with moderation.
