Should I use a home gym machine to make my chest exercises easier?

Hey there! To give you a bit of insight, I had gynecomastia surgery half a year ago and while the doctor approved I can start exercising again about two months ago, chest bodyweight exercises (for example push-ups) still feel really difficult, no matter how much I do them. I do have a multi-gym machine at home, and while people say it's generally better to do bodyweight exercises, would it be okay if I did chest exercises on it, since it would make it easier to later get into bodyweight exercises?

I'd ask your doctor what you can do. The machine may cause too much of a stretch through the chest compared to body weight exercises. If your doctor didn't approve it there could be a good reason.0
