Invisalign and a new way of eating

Okay. I just got Invisalign yesterday and I hate it. Like a foreign object in my mouth that every fiber in my being wants out. BUT I’m paying a lot of money for this so in my mouth it stays. What I’m hoping is that maybe it will create a new, disciplined way of eating. Which, uh, I guess means less, random snacking. 😬 Has anyone else dealt with Invisalign and found it to be a good way to eat less and/or lose weight?

The weird feeling gets better, so stick with it.

I found when I first started that I stopped snacking as taking out the trays, cleaning my teeth etc was too much of a hassle. Over time you quickly fall back into old habits though...

I'm getting mine next Friday and hoping it will help me not to snack so much. :)

You get used to it after a while. I never had invisalign specifically, but I did have plenty of retainers cemented to the roof of my mouth (headgear, adjustment turn-key retainers, etc.). I would usually go back to normal eating minus the banned foods (like hard candy) after a week or two. It would then feel weird after it gets taken out.

I got Invisaligns right around the time I started trying to lose weight. It definitely helped because I really had to mean business if I was going to bother taking them out, then brushing and flossing after eating. The biggest thing I missed was chewing gum TBH.
