MY food diary said that if I want to lose 1 lb per week, I need 1,870 calories.

But on my diary it says daily Goal: 2,270? why is it messed up i'm confused.

did you log in exercise? that gives you back calories...otherwise I don't know. Try logging out and back in.

Do you by chance have 400 calories of exercise logged for the same day? If so, the goal will be adjusted upward on your food diary.

I can't see your food diary, but if you worked out in the am, or at all and haven't logged your food that could explain it. mph adds your work out calories back into your daily goal

    OH!

Yes, I burned 400 calories on the elliptical trainer today:).

So does this mean I need 2,270 calories today? Thanks guys.

MFP adds the calories burned through your exercise back into your food diary as it expects you to eat them. There are varying opinions on eating exercise calories. Some swear by it, others don't eat any of them and the rest fall somewhere in between (eating some but not all of the exercise calories). Honestly the choice is up to you. If you still feel hungry after your dinner and evening snack you know that you have up to 400 extra calories available to eat today...
