In 7 days I have managed to somehow loose 5 pounds. To me this is an insane amount of weight loss especially as I haven’t exercised at all in the past 7 days and my caloric intake isn’t restricted too heavily. I have eaten around 1200 calories per day for the last seven days and that is the only changes I have made. This is the first week of my diet. Last Saturday I weighed myself for the first time in 7 months and I weighed 203 pounds meaning that I have gained 30 pounds in the last 7 months. This is the heaviest I have ever weighed and I am so ashamed of myself for allowing this to happen. It makes no sense that I have lost this amount of weight so quickly. Maybe 1 or 2 pounds would be understandable but 5 pounds just seems insane.

It is common to drop extra water weight in the beginning, and you also probably weighed more that first day just because you had more food in your stomach. Your weight loss should slow down in the next week or 2. If you are still losing that much the 3rd or 4th week (highly doubtful) then you can always up your calories if you want.

Sometimes there's a big drop at first due to water weight. Just monitor it over time to make sure that you're not losing too quickly.

Are you using a food scale? If you are a male ,I think it would be wise to raise your calories up a bit.
