Hi I'm just getting started but I'm confused about best method to get the pounds off.I have about a stone and a half to lose but want to do it sensibly.MFP is setting my calories at 1310 to lose a pound a week - not sure whether this is too low for me and I will give up.To lose 0.5 pound a week is 1500 approx on MFP - im thinking this may be a better option?I do have a desk job - but probably rack up about 10,000 steps a day Monday to Friday

You don't have much to lose, so it will be slow. Start on 1500 and see how you feel. It's better to lose a bit slower than not at all (because you'll crash and burn if you push beyond your natural limits).0
