Its full of *kitten* holes in my opinion. you can find a much better commercial gym for just starting out than there. The egos are overflowing

I think like all gyms it just depends on what location you go to. The golds that I went to was just fine, it had great people. I still go to the same gym actually it just sold to another company so same people, different name.

    ^ This.

Gold's used to be a "hardcore" bodybuilding gym chain back in the day. Now it's just another generic big box gym chain like Anytime, 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, etc. Things will vary from location to location, so check it out and judge for yourself. Just about any gym will give you anywhere from a free day to a free week trial pass.

I used to work at Gold's Gym. The one where I worked was in a very affluent suburb, and it was mostly stay at home moms during the day, and their working husbands in the evenings. When I traveled and could work out at any Gold's Gym, it really varied. Some were full of @$$holes and meatheads, some a mix of the general public. I think it has to do with the management since most are franchised. I say check it out (they should give you a couple of free workouts) to see if you like the vibe.

The one here sold to genesis. But it was basically the same as any other big gym, I would compare it to 24 hr fitness. (Which also sold to genesis :D )
