How do you determine activity level?

I have listed my activity level as "not very active". I am now doing water fitness (45 min each) twice per week plus working out at the gym at least one day. How does one determine when to change activity level? I have a full time desk job.
Is there a guide to help me determine activity level?

Since you work a desk job, you should probably keep your activity level the same and just log your workouts separately.0

If you're following MFP's goals exercise is not included in your activity level. Stick with not very active/sedentary.0
