I do first whichever is more important to my current goals, or whichever I'm more interested in seeing performance gains in.2

I do them as separate workouts to get the best of both.
I can't do anything fasted. I like food 45 minutes before a workout and usually nibble on a banana between sets when lifting.1 -
I like to hop on the elliptical for about 10 minutes just to get lose then I lift. If it’s a heavy cardio day I’ll lift first then do cardio but no more than 30 minutes.2

I've heard you should lift first. That the lifting burns off the glucose in the muscle so by the time you get to the cardio you're burning fat.6

My priority is running so I run on running days, and lift and cross train on non running days.
Cardio then resistance training1 -
I don't run, but I cycle...I typically don't do them on the same day except for Saturday where I bike to and from the gym...but it's only 7 miles each way, so just a warm up and cool down.1

I usually do fasted cardio too. Then I lift. But what Smantha32 said makes a lot of sense. Maybe I’ll switch it up and see if my results are better.1

Yes my max on a machine is about 30 also. Very cool. Thanks.0 -
1. Whichever is priority.
2. If both are equal priority, don't do so much cardio beforehand that you compromise your strength training.1 -

Right. Sometimes I switch it up just to keep it fun. As long as I am eating clean, good results usually follow for me.0
