Hey Folks! Nice to meet you all. It's good to be here.
A bit about myself. I'm currently a junior at Drexel University studying computer engineering. I'm originally from India, but I've lived in the USA for a majority of my life. Mostly moved back and forth between the two countries and also lived in Canada for a year.
My fitness journey has been quite topsy turvy. I arrived as a freshman at Drexel weighing a decent 165 lbs (I'm 6'1" btw). I finished my freshman year weighing 220 lbs. Yeah, I screwed up big time. I went back home for summer break and lost 30 lbs and returned as a sophomore feeling awesome and full of energy. However, I was hit with some serious health issues which required surgery on my leg, and as a result, I couldn't go to the gym for about 3-4 months. At the same time, my weight crept back up to 220 lbs. But after recovering from surgery and all, I've lost 40 lbs in the last year or so, and have never been this fit in my life. I currently weigh 186 lbs (gained some weight recently because of a layoff due to injury), but I'm surely getting back on track. I'm training for a half marathon which is this September, so I'll definitely be in better shape before that. I also want to lose my belly fat, and I've given myself until the end of this year to lose it all.
I'm looking forward to connecting with others here, and I'm hoping we can support each other and reach our goals!
