Talk to a doctor and make sure you get a referral to a dietician. For some reasons doctors skip that step too often even in these situations.
Protein will help keep you regulated in the meantime but keep something handy for when you feel dizzy like a fruit juice or glucose tablets. Don't forget to keep something by your bed that won't go bad overnight like a bottle of sprite or ginger ale. Some people can wake up low and actually have a hard time getting out of bed. Sugar is a quick fix though and the symptoms will be back fairly soon so don't forget the protein.2 -
