The hardes days for me are Sat- Sun, I always go over my cals,
Because my husband is home and eats all day and I get so temted that I just end up joning him.
He's not over weight, fit as can be, I think its not fair he eats whatever, whenever he wants and doesnt gain a lb,

I went over my cals yesterday by 220 I feel really bad
so far today i've done good but im scared i might do it again.

i'm the same, and for the same reason! My partner is as thin as a rake but eats like a horse! its really hard for me to keep the calories down for me, but make sure hes not damaging himself by only eating what i eat.

i certainly feel your pain though, as soon as he gets home for the evening/weekend i feel the urge to get down to munchies

its hard but i am only a week into this diet so i am hoping it will get easier

On the days I go over, I try not to get hard on myself unless I go over my "maintain" calorie limit. Just plan for the weekends throughout the week. Mon-Fri eat as many fruits, veggies, good carbs, fiber, and protein as your limits allow, and then don't feel too bad on the weekends.

Or, burn some of those extra calories with fun weekend activities - go for a hike, play catch in the yard, take a bike ride, etc. etc. etc. It's the weekend! You're not supposed to worry on weekends!!!

My wife is NOT at all skinny but if she eats then I am tempted too. However, I am trying to keep all bad food out of house and certainly out of the fridge. But I can understand it is hard. I have not gone over my calories since I started infact always under but on days like Sat and Sun I am close to hitting even.

I wouldn't worry about the occasional overage. It would make sense to me that if you have consistent days of shortages, than it actually probably does your metabolism some good to have that overage from time to time.. If anything, it assures that you it won't be slowing down due to being underfed on a regular basis.

    Just my thoughts.

I change my calories around so I eat more on weekends and less through the week. Drop your calories lower through the week and add it to your weekend days. It all comes out the same.

Okay....I'll admit it. Weekends it is REALLY hard for me not to over-indulge with wine. :embarassed: I sooooo don't need it, but I sooooo want it. :ohwell:

I thought weekends would be tough for me, for the same reasons you suggested. So I made my weigh-in day sunday...... This way I'm encouraged to behave myself on Saturday and I do! At the same time, there is nothing wrong with an occaisional weekend treat with your hubby

I tend to plan stuff to do on weekends so that I'm not just sitting around. If you keep your day busy, then not only are you burning more calories, but you aren't lazing around thinking about food. All those things you wanted to do in your life but thought you never had time, do em. You'll be happier all around for it!

We take the kids out and are usually very active on the weekends, however, we eat a lot more and hardly eat any homecooked meals Fri thru Monday. Even tho, I usually burn all my calories, it kills me that I get so much exercise in, but eat all the calories burned (and sometimes more ) : (

I went over both days this weekend. I had it all planned out, but then some bread or a Mike's hard lemonade "jumped" in my lap!

If it makes you feel any better... you're not alone.

I find myself exercising even more on my "bad days". It makes me feel WAY better to see the "negative" calorie numbers rise so that I am not "in the red" any longer (or am less so!) .

For example, today for lunch, I baked a ham, and served it with baked potatoes and sweet corn.

I thought I'd be alright... and I WOULD have been had the ham not tasted sooooooo GOOD! :ohwell:

So, I just did the mini trampoline 3x as long as I normally do and then took a brisk walk with my older daughter.

Yee-haa! My -246 caloric intake turned into a -45. A number I can deal with a little better!

    Love,
    Carrie

Weekends are the hardest for me since I'm home most of the time and surrounded by food. My wife still buys hotdogs (my weakness), chips, brownie mix, etc. I can avoid fast-food while I'm out and I take my lunch to work so weekdays are easy for me. Despite my best intentions, I fell off the wagon on Sun. I also didn't get to do all of the outdoorsy things I had planned due to the weather.

OTOH, I did get to the gym this morning and was able to run for 18 min. straight @ 6.8 mph. I'll put on my Scarlett hat and say, "Oh well, I'll worry about that tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day."
  • Weekends are the worst for me but thats cause i go out on the lash and drink a load of cals, i don't worrie about it as i'm still loosing weight and hell if we can't enjoy our selves then whats the point!!!

I would suggest excersing on the weekends as that'll give you more cals and lessen the calorie over run. We need rest days if we're training so just make sure yours fall on week days. Just a thought, i know that might not be pratical...

The worse for me is when I'm at work. I have a part time job so I only work one to three days a week. I work around lots of candy and food. Sometimes I take a tiny snack. I'm soo sad at the end of the day when I do. I feel like I have no self control.:brokenheart:

Ugh, so after I posted on Sunday I met a friend at McDonald's. Had a meal...SUPERSIZED! I was so hungry when I first got there, and had no self-control. I felt sick when I typed in the calories later---I was about 800 calories over my goal!!!! :noway: I feel so bad about it, but maybe it will give me a kick in the butt this week?

What was I thinking? While I am in this transitional period, I don't even think I should go to places like that. After all, that is how I ended up in this mess. It was really silly, too, because I could just as easily asked my friend if we could go to Subway instead. She would have been supportive. Ughhh!!!!

    Live and learn! :frown:

I buy lots of snacks from DietDirect. They're healthier then what you can find in a vending machine.

Weekends always ruin me, mostly because my husband and I are together and he, skinny of course, eats a lot of really tasty stuff in front of me. Alcohol is always a factor on the weekends, too, but I'm trying to cut that down.

Weekends are rough! I do great during the week only to blow it. :drinker:
