Anyone else from SC? Any tips for running outside in heat?

Not from SC, but:
1. Drink lots of water before and during
2. Try to run early, late, or on shady routes
3. If you stop sweating, stop running!1 -
I’m in Tennessee and I’m training for a 5K. I always go running first thing in the morning or after the sun has gone done. It’s helped me a ton!1

Yes to SC. If you are going to run here it is best at 4:30 AM. It is as cool as it is going to get but still likely going to be 97% humidity. If I do go out when the sun is up a good bike ride with the wind in my face works too. The other benefit is getting it done first thing in the morning before procrastination sneaks up on you.2

South Carolina girl here
And the humidity is the reason why I do all my workouts inside the house. I knew if I tried to create a routine that depended on weather I was going to quit too easy.
