Laura here!

My name is Laura, I'm 96kg. I was 86kg in September and it took me a few month to gain 10 kg after having lost weight. I set a goal for 80kg, I was biking when I was in the U.S. and started an aerobics class 5 days ago when I went home for a visit. I'm eating less, cut out some sugar and junk foods. But I was demotivated today and didn't excercise because I stepped on a scale and found that all the sweat and fatigue was for nothing, I've been the same exact weight whether I cut on food, bike, run, gym, or eat nothing. I know nothing changes in a few days, especially as a woman with hormone levels changing during a menstrual cycle, but it really demotivated me and it was very hard not to drive to the supermarket and grab a huge pint of chocolate ice-cream.

My boyfriend is a runner and he's a great motivator, and I usually bike but I'm home for the summer and it's hard to be mobile here. Would love some virtual support!

Unfortunately, weight loss takes time and persistence. It sucks to not see results quickly, but that is just the reality of it, we don't all see the kind of progress they show on shows like "Biggest Loser"

Typically when you change your exercise routine your muscles retain water for a few weeks while they adapt, so this may be masking a bit of loss you have made so far.

However, I think you will benefit from adjusting your mind set and settling in for the long run.
