That's fantastic.
My BIL at Easter was talking through the entire dinner about how he wasn't eating any of the evil sugarz. Hubby and I were rolling our eyes at each other. Then BIL inhaled about 8 resurrection rolls in about two minutes, afterwards.

Like broken cookies! The calories fall out of broken cookies, you know.8 -

I disagree. I think posts like this can be helpful. A lot of newcomers show up here not knowing that there's tons of misinformation (aka woo) floating around. People spread misinformation daily and I think it's great to call them on it. It helps people who might not know better yet. They'll see that weight loss really comes down to a calorie deficit and doesn't require multi level marketing scams, clean eating, demonizing carbs and detoxing.
It's harmful to this community when misinformation is spread, it hurts those who don't know better yet and are still ignorant. Posts like this help bring light to the many ways people are fooled.30 -

You said that so diplomatically. Thanks.
I knew if I answered, there was going to be snark.20 -
Not a friend or family, but it would be pretty hard to top this:

I quit listening after "use it to replace your coffee."
How many calories do you think that juice is? 4 oranges, an apple and two of the lemon-things. 500-600?
ETA: I lied. I kept listening. Cancer-targeting cyanide?!? I'm in!8 -

Oh no! The best parts are a few minutes in. Keep watching0 -

The other thing I heard is good for that is blueberries. It only stains cancer cells and unhealthy micro organisms. So you eat blueberries and they turn blue, then you find them and you kill them.
Also peaches are good for curing diarrhea, but only cling peaches...3 -

That's actually a real thing. Not a whole lot of research on the subject but some interesting preliminary trials, that at a minimum go to explain why "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"-Hint: It's the cyanide.0 -

Huh. Who knew? And who eats the apple seeds anyway besides that guy??4 -
We have a family friend who told me I could cure my Celiac Disease by fasting. This person is always on some fad diet or another.6

He seems to be supporting the OP. Lemons = draino for our bodies. Wow. That whole thing was painful to watch.0 -
I had this gem thrown at me not long ago:
"Don't shake your salad! It'll be void of nutrients afterwards!"
I was shaking my big ole huge tupperware full of salad to get the measly amount of dressing to cover every last leaf, raw veggie and crumb of parmesan.
"Erm... what?" I'm still holding the tupperware having stopped shaking it.
"Yes! The nutrients fall right out of the cut surfaces and you can't get those back"
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Goes back to shaking. Salad dressing still needs to spread just a little bit more.27 -
One person told me that people can consume any amount of calories that they wish and won't gain weight as long as they are in ketosis.
I asked if they meant that they could consistently create a calorie surplus and not gain and they answered yes.
( LMAO)
They drank coffee with oil and whipping cream mixed in all day long. They mixed in so much oil that the coffee looked like an oil spill on the gulf. Lol!
When they ended up gaining weight they said that it must be muscle. This person never lifted or exercised at all. They considered daily tasks like walking to the water cooler or walking to the mailbox as exercise.
This person continues to believe that keto will solve all lifes problems and hasn't actually lost any weight yet.
Some people believe in the woo so strongly that they refuse to see the truth. They are blinded by the woo.18 -
First you must be 'toxed' to be detoxed. If your 'leaky gut' was this toxed the sepsis would get you before the parasites could. Leaky guts all toxed UP, some have been leaking for years now. That's some imaginary 'tox', leaking like a sieve. There's always silicone bicycle fix-a-flat to take care of the holes.5

I'm curious as to why you think that.
The concoction in the OP has shared a facebook (?) post about has no proven effect on weight loss or detoxing. It might even end up damaging the enamel on your teeth.
ETA: that stuff detailed in the OP would actually clean out my guts. By having me throw up and unable to eat for the better part of the day due to pain...5 -
Jeez, how did human beings survive before we discovered the magical detoxifying properties of lemon, honey and ginger...
Oh yeah. Our organs.13 -

Why?
Making fun of other people just to feel better about your own superior dietary choices. If you won't say it to your friends face, what makes it okay to essentially talk about them behind their backs? I make a lot of choices that my friends may consider to be "woo", but they talk to me, they don't make fun of me on a public message board. I'd honestly be really upset if I found out that one of my friends was doing this.24 -

So far we have stuck to just things you put in your mouth; there is a hole other category (pun intended ) that can get a little messy...5 -

That's.... so much woo I think my brain imploded.2 -
It's one thing to talk about certain "things" that you may consider "woo", but to come in here all "my best friends cousins sisters hairdresser told me about....." and then to laugh and basically call that person out when they can't defend themselves? Yeah, that's in poor taste. But, carry on.29

it's so annoying.
i've been doing pretty good with my weight loss. 1-2 lbs a week. sustainable.
my one family member said i should eat 800 calories a day so i can lose faster. and she eats a meal plan so when she stops, she hasn't learned how to manage her food. and gains it back
and my friends on keto. but then they "cheat" and gain it all back.
and i'm over here with my cico.8 -
Some time ago a family member was posting a lot on facebook about how eating a specific list of 7 foods or teas that would miraculously cure your cancer.
