Sides+Hitting the right calories?

So this first question is dumb, but if ya’ll eat a hot pocket from a package what side would go good with that? I can’t seem to find a decent side, and not sure what would go good with it.

As for the second question, I can’t seem to hit my calories that good. I can never good to 2000 and only get to about 900-1400, which has caused me to loose weight. I’m trying to hit at least 1500, but it’s somewhat hard. Anyone got any recommendations?

    Whatever you like?

If I was eating a Hot Pocket, I'd probably crave some fresh vegetables to go with it. So I would choose a green salad or some roasted vegetables (like broccoli or asparagus). Another option I might go for would be a piece of fruit.

I can't see your diary but there are two things to consider if you're having trouble eating the recommended number of calories. First, make sure you're logging accurately (right database entries, accurate measurement of servings, etc). Second, have you restricted too much from your diet?

If you have a chronic lack of appetite and you're losing weight when that isn't your goal, you may also want to get checked out by a doctor. There are some medical conditions that can result in a lack of appetite.

When my dd needed to gain weight and her appetite was small it was helpful for her to eat more calorie dense foods and drink whole milk mixed with Carnation Breakfast Essentials powder, smoothies or shakes. A chocolate banana peanut butter shake was pretty calorie dense. She likes energy balls as well.

If your diet is low in fruits or vegetables you might want to add more of those to your meals. Have vegetables or fruit with your hot pocket.
If your diet is low in protein you might want to add things like meat, yogurt, cottage cheese, whole eggs, beans, lentils, peas.
If your diet is low in fats you might add nuts or seeds, nut butters, full fat dairy, butter, oils, avocado, salad dressings, salmon, less lean meat

You might prelog your food for the whole day to make sure you hit your goals better.
