Steps calorie adjustment

Hi
Apologies I suspect this is a frequent question but I can’t find a clear answer in the old posts.

So I only use mfp on iPhone

At present I’m set as active in settings as I walk a lot at work

My daily walking varies but days like yesterday I did a lot and noted Mfp suggested I ate an additional 123kcal

Is this activity really already included in my activity level? In which case I won’t eat it.

Or does mfp calculate this was walking in excess of what it expects of my activity level and so reccomend extra calories on this basis? In which case I will.

I already log and eat back gym exercise.

Help!?

If you're using a good step tracker, you can eat those calories back.

That being said, 120 calories may be a little or a lot for you. For me(5'11" 235ish), It's not much and 100-200 calories variance is just noise in my day. For a 140 lb 5'6" female it may be worth eating.

I don't know your stats so you'll have to be the judge of whether you want/need those calories.

    Hi All!
I'm new to the MFP app and have an iphone and watch. I am completely confused as to why I never get any calorie credit for my 5K-10K steps/day. I have my iwatch linked via the Apple "heart" app to the MFP app. I cannot link the Apple "rings" app to the MFP app which is probably more accurate. Any suggestions? I've also played around with the negative calorie adjustments within the MFP app. Help!

What is your activity level set to? Do you have Health Kit selected as your step tracker?
