Hey guys! I am Natalia. I am looking for new friends who have similar goals, or anyone in general who’d like to share journeys.

I am married, have three kids under four years old and I love myself, it has taken me years to get to where I am today. Weight loss for me is not going to be about fitting into a certain dress or about feeling my best self. I love who I am and I love my body, weight loss for me has always been an issue- I spent years hating myself and how I looked. This time weight loss is nothing to do with me and everything to do with my kids. I don’t want to be a sedentary mom who can’t keep up with my amazing kids! And also, I want to enjoy a lot of thrilling things that life has to offer, like certain rides at theme parks, to which I’ve had to be squeeze into... if it was embarrassing for me, I cant imagine putting my kids through that embarrassment.

Anyway, give me a holler, tell me about you & let’s do this thing!!

I am currently 271 lbs, 5’2”, Body Fat 48% & BMI 47.something. I need to put new batteries into my scale 😅

Hi! My name is Misty. Feel free to add me! I opened your post because I love the title! I started out at 200 pounds, 5'4" with a % body fat over 40. I can't remember what it wasexactly because I was so obsessed with weighing in at a flat 200. I unlike you did not love myself. Something I am still learning to do. I started my journey several years ago but was derailed in 2014 with a major injury to my foot that required 2 reconstructive surgeries. I have struggled and watched the scale climb ever since. I started this year with the goal of a better me. Saying yes to things/events I normally declined and work toward weight loss. I wanted to fit into my clothes and feel better about myself. I started in March with a clean(ish) diet and it has been life changing for me. I went from living on the couch with barely enough energy to drag myself to the nearest drive thru to feeling like I'm in my 20's again. This website is a good place to make friends. Just be careful of who you add. There's some real creepers on here.

Let's do this together! I'm looking to lose a total of 55 pounds (currently down 26). Keep loving your beautiful self!

I feel the same way..In high school I was 150 lbs..That was my perfect weight..but ever since I had my son when I was 23, I started gaining & gaining & gaining..I've dieted on & off for many years..6 years ago I lost 90 lbs (got down to 195) & then slowly gained all, plus some back..My son (he's 17) had a talk with me & he said he was worried about me & didn't want anything to happen to me or for me to be alone (I've never been married), when he ends up moving out on his own..we both cried & so we started eating better..I started my diet a couple months ago @ 294 & as of this morning I've lost 19 lbs, so far..I want to start exercising..but not great at anything other than walking & I've been having some issues with my foot..so trying to figure out something else..Hoping I can get back down to at least under 200 lbs..Good luck on your weight loss journey..You're beautiful btw..

    Hi Natalia!

I so understand where you’re coming from! I’m married and a mom of three, ages 4 1/2, 3, and 1 1/2! I have a huge goal of losing 70-100 pounds.

Weight loss for me is more so related to my kids, as well. I don’t want them to see me as the “fat mom” and I want to teach them how to be healthy, instead of how to be fat. I come from a long line of bigger people, thanks to the super fattening foods that are so loved at our family get togethers.

I’ve tried so many diets and programs and given up on all of them, but I’m super determined this time. My goal is to lose my extra weight over the year, before we start trying to make our fourth and final baby.

My BMI is 39.3, my fat % is 41.2% and I currently weigh 249, at 5’7”. I’d love to connect!!

    Hi Natalia,

I’m amber. Married mother of two. My son is 13 and autistic, and my daughter is almost 2. I’m 5ft 11 and weight 322lbs. I want to lose about 150 more. I had lost a lot of weight about 6 years ago, then had a serious injury that put me on bed rest for over 8 moths. They had some more health issues, found out I had Hoshimoto’s, had a baby and gained everything and then some back. I just started here a few weeks ago. I don’t want my daughter to go through what I went through being a big girl. Also, my so graduated 8th grade next year and I want to take him to universal, and I really want to fit in those rides!

    Hi!

Feel free to add me if you like (and I mean that for anyone who reads this thread). I know exactly what you mean about loving who you are but wanting to make changes. I've struggled with weight all my life but I gained around 60lbs while taking care of my terminally ill father. He died about a year and ago and while I miss him every day I think it's time to start taking care of myself. I have over a 100lbs to lose but for the first time in a long time, I really believe that I can do it and I'm excited to be starting this new part of my life.
  • Hi ! :) I'm also 5'2 I have 50 lbs to lose
