Talk is always cheap.
But if you are asking if you should give someone a second chance, then it depends.1 -
Give them the benefit of the doubt until they show otherwise...but then after that actions only matter.3

I stopped caring altogether. Say or do whatever you want. I got *kitten* to do.2

I've worked in sales from time to time; talk is cheap, it damn sure is.0

I think it really depends on the circumstance.

I do too lol0 -
I hate talking, I like silence, and I think people who talk to much are shallow and boring. The more someone talks, the less I trust them.
I hate humans, people have to prove them are worthy of trust.3 -

Talk is cheap. One of my biggest pet peeves is fake apologies. People think they can do or say whatever they want and then apologize and expect you to say “it’s ok”. Nope. I tell them I don’t want their BS apology. Prove to me your sorry by your actions.1

Not literally here so don’t get your panties in a bunch0 -
Actions definitely speak louder than words.3

I enjoy listening to stories that people tell (true or fictional), so talk is never cheap. However, that said, I am skeptical. Some people can spin amazing yarns, but they are very hard to swallow, if you catch my meaning.
Still, as a person who is mostly introverted and is only actively engaged in speaking when it's in type, it is fascinating to me.
Believe half of what you read and none of what you hear. But appreciate a good story for what it is, a story.4 -
Talk is cheap.
I have very low expectations of people so when they fail to live up to even those minimum standards I have no problem freezing them out of my life. I know that sounds harsh but I don't have the time.1
