    I promise to find a couple of days over the next few weeks to take my boys out to the amusement park/water park and have a great time making memories with them. And I promise to take a ton of pictures when we do and will probably be a *kitten* and post them on Facebook and tag the currently visiting family members.

    They deserve it, considering they told me multiple times in the past couple of weeks that it sounded like a great way to spend the day tomorrow and then turned around and disappointed my kids by announcing today, AFTER I bought $350 worth of non-refundable tickets (thank goodness they’re good any day from now to mid-September), that they don’t want to go after all because it might be crowded and insisted on buying movie tickets instead.

    I also promise that I am absolutely NOT going to the movie...the kids can go with them, but I’m going to the gym so I don’t kill someone when I have to spend the afternoon listening to her whine about having to go to the city pool where there might be a semblance of a crowd since we don’t belong to a private club like they do and promised the kids we’d go swimming since they’re not getting the water park time they were expecting.

    Phew, that feels much better.
