How many calories should I log in for an hour of CrossFit?

how many for an hour of hot yoga?

Thanks!

  • The calories burned is going to be different for everyone. The most accurate way to know how many calories burned is to get a HRM and wear it during your workout. I have the Polar FT40 with chest strap and it has been great! Last night I did crossfit for 25 minutes and burned 358 calories. It was intense. For hot yoga I dont know, but I do 60-90 minute classes of Vinyasa Flow yoga. I burn about 220-250 calories in an hour for that class. It will vary depending on who teaches it and how much you are actually doing.

Like I said it will be different for everyone so you shouldn't necessarily go by what I do. I'm 27 years old, 126 pounds, 5 ft 2in for your reference. I would really think about getting a HRM if you are serious about logging calories. It really is the only accurate way to know.

    Hope this helped! Good luck!

For a general idea you could log it as circut training here on MFP. It won't be 100% accurate though. The only real way to know is to get a HRM.
