How Do I create meals

Good Morning, I'm brand new to this program. I want to create my fitness diary. I can't figure out how to create meal so that I can use it in future meal planning. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Click "Quick Tools" at the bottom of that meal slot once you have entered all the stuff. It will ask you to name it, then it will be searchable by that name, or by looking through your My Meals list.

    One way you can do it is to build a recipe.

    You can also prelog a meal at a future date.

    MFP keeps all your entries so you can simply re-enter from its memory.

    I find the recipe builder feature is good for foods where you mix up a lot of different things into one dish that creates multiple servings that you're either sharing with other people, or eating portions of it yourself over time (e.g., soups, stews, casseroles, baked goods).

    I prefer the "my meals" feature either (1) for aggregating options from a single restaurant, especially places like Chipotle with a lot of customization available, so I can log the meal and delete the options I didn't have that time (e.g., I had barbacoa, so delete the carnitas; I had a bowl, not a burrito, so delete the tortilla) or (2) for including the various options I might include in things like my oatmeal, smoothies, or salads that I make at home. It's just a lot easier to delete things from a list of ingredients that you've already found in the database and check than it is to do all that searching and verifying all over again.

    ETA: also, just to be clear, if you delete things from a "my meal" after you've logged it in your diary, the items remain in the saved meal, unless you replace the saved meal (by clicking on tools and save meal and replace existing meal).
