    I remember reading the Game of Thrones when it first got printed in paperback, and finishing it and thinking that I might have liked it (the writing was good) but at the same time, I kinda wished I hadn't read it.

    Birdman. I thought most, if not all, of the characters were a holes and couldn't stand them. But the critics all LOVED it. I kept thinking that maybe critics like movies where all the characters are a holes because it makes for a good character study.
