I need some support. I'm pmsing and work in an office that has food 75% of the time. Today I had 5 pieces of pizza and a cupcake, because of s going away party. Between office food, PMS, and stress, Im feeling hopeless on the weight loss front. I have such an all or nothing attitude about weight loss but get so discouraged around this time of the month. Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

You could push harder to make sure you burn what you ate. Got stairs? Even if you have to do jumping jacks in love or walk in a small circle for and hour or two. You can still burn off why you ate.

I say that as a reminder to me too. 😄 I'm exhausted and went over my daily goal for today by like 200 calories. And here I am not working the excess off.

    1. I allowed myself maintenance calories for that couple of days a month, because the stress of trying not to eat that bit more was killing me.
    2. If you are typically over-restricting, it is fairly common to lose control at some point. Make sure you are eating enough calories throughout the month (not losing weight too aggressively) and eating food you enjoy often.
    3. Weight loss is a process, you aren't going to be perfect right away (or actually ever). Sometimes we overeat because we are trying so hard to be perfect, and once we relent and have one piece, guilt leads us to 2 more pieces. Give yourself permission to eat a piece of pizza and a cupcake, log it, acknowledge what it does to your numbers for the day, plan out how this possibly changes your plan for the rest of the day, then get back to work.
    4. If there is food around alot, think about all of your coworkers touching all that food, breathing on it, talking over it. All the microscopic germs and bits of printer ink and communal dust swirling around it. That usually works for me. But I'll still have a slice of pizza!
