Hi everyone, here is my dilemma. I exercise almost everyday. My problem is 100% what I eat. So I have been watching what I eat and some days going to the gym morning and nights. But the scale doesn’t move EXCEPT if I cheat. If I miss a workout and eating horribly the next day the scale shows a weight loss. I am beyond confused. I feel like I should eat more and exercise less? But that’s how I ended up here. 🤷♀️. FYI. It has been 6-8 weeks of mostly healthy eating and exercise.

What matters for weight loss is calories, but it takes time. Your body desn't automatically react on the scale tomorrow morning to what you do today. You need to look at the trend over weeks. Also keep in mind that your weight naturally fluctuates all the time, usually due to water weight fluctuations. You can't make changes based on one day's weight in or you'll just keep marching in place!
Start logging your food accurately and consistently. Healthy eating is great, but you can still end up eating too many calories. Log your workouts and eat back some of those calories too. Stick to one plan for at least 4-6 weeks and tweak from there. Read the Most Helpful Posts pinned to the top of each forum. Good luck!2
