I have moved from a physically active job to a desk job for the most part and now my ankles and legs swell up after only a few hrs at work. Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent this? Thanks!

Put a footstool under your desk to elevate your feet slightly. Set a reminder to get up and walk at least once every hour.2

If the above suggestions don’t cure the swelling, you need to see a doctor. Fluid retention in the feet and legs can be a sign of serious heart or kidney condition.4
