I want to loose 35 pounds

Hi everyone! ;) I am 28 year old female who has struggled with my weight my whole life. I am 5’1 & 161 pounds. I recently just cancelled weight watchers after finding no success. I eat pretty healthy for the most part I think my problem is snacking. It’s also very hard for me to loose weight.

Anyone around my height and weight who has lost weight what has worked for you?

My wife is almost exactly your stats, she finds it hard to stick to anything more agressive than 1lb a week but she's been consistently losing weight with calorie restriction. There isn't a magic way for shorter folk to lose weight unfortunately, she was annoyed that I had to eat more than her at first but I kept telling her that I'm lugging around a lot of extra mass by being tall and all that lugging is expensive

I have never had a problem with losing weight - I have "always" known that you (the universal you) lose weight in a calorie deficit; my struggle always started at goal weight and maintaining a lower weight and a new lifetyle. Not until I connected the dots: You can eat anything you like, and anytime you like, but you can't eat too much.

I am just under 5'1 and was about 167 in March (I actually don't have a clear record on starting weight/date). I am older at 37 though. I have been fat/obese most of my life even as a child. Twice in the past I lost around 100 lbs. The first time I gained it all (and then some) back. This time I was able to "stop" myself at 35-40lbs over.

I am now down to 150 and my "first" goal is 135 (15 to go) and may try to hit 130 after that (20 to go!).

In the last year I have "tried" to eat better but something was missing in my motivation. I just wasn't into it. After loosing my dog I joined a gym and it was weird, the push to keep working out automatically made it easier to watch my food (hard to work out when you are not eating well).

What works for me is logging (weighting and measuring) all my intake. I don't re-eat exercise calories (but then MFP says I should only eat 1200 cals which I cannot do so I have it up to 1300 calories accounting for some exercise).

Due to injuries I haven't been going to the gym much, but I kept up with my running and joined a training program to run 10k (I have been running for years). And add tons of walking.

I am 28, 5ft even, & weigh 166ish so basically the same stats as yourself I want to get down to 125lbs that would make me so happy I did get down to 148.8 last summer but have put some back on from lack of laziness and not logging which I am kicking myself for. I have been overweight since I was like 18 years old so for the last 10 years I have been trying to lose weight I feel like I have deprived myself over the years thinking oh I can't eat that or I can only drink smoothies to lose weight. but I have found out that the only way that works to lose weight is logging and counting calories (I started at 212lbs in 2013) I don't really exercise either I have step goal of 6k steps and I eat 1200-1300 calories a day.
Message me if you ever want you talk.
