Be more specific, you're more likely to hit your goal if you make specified goals. So instead of "I want to exercise" maybe "I want to exercise at least 2 hours a week"
Also, I don't know your weight/height. But 1200 is a very low amount of calories. Unless you're very light already, or very short, you're only setting yourself up for failure if you plan to eat so little. If you want sustainable weightloss it's better to start with a smaller calorie deficit and build up to a more aggressive one if you're finding that easy.
For referance: I am 5'2", was 75kg (165lb) and I have lost 5kg (11lbs) over 73 days by eating on average 1654 kcals daily (and that includes a week holiday where I probably ate a lot more than I accounted calories for)0
