The calories that MFP assigns according to my weight, height, weight and goals is lower than what a dietician recommended. Has anyone else found the calories here low?

The recommended calories provided by mfp dont include exercise calories - the ones provided by your dietician may take exercise in to consideration so would be higher.3

Or you may have special health issues that you dietician is aware of that a general-use algorithm like MFP uses can't account for. Or you may have given MFP an overaggressive goal in terms of pounds lost per week, and your dietician may have calculated your calories using a more appropriate, less aggressive goal.4

MFC recommends calories based on what you put in as your deficit. So if you go crazy and say you want to lose 2lbs per week then MFP gives you a lower goal. So no, it's not MFPs fault. Re-evaluate how much you can lose in a safe and sustainable way and you'll be fine.0
