Can an injury or sprain with swelling and bruising case a temporary weight gain?

I had one and couldn't do much of anything for 3 months or so.. it was really bad1

Increased water weight is pretty common with anything that requires healing, especially if there's swelling involved. Not fat, so don't worry about it.0

Thank you! I took a spill on my bicycle and thought I had broken my hand. It swelled up like a dead bulldog. Xray showed no break. Been icing but it's still swollen and for two days now I have added a little weight on the scale. No big deal but I wondered if this was the culpret since I still exercised and kept on my daily cal goals. Looks like it could be from what y'all are telling me.0
