Exercises for slimming thighs and calves?!

I play a lot of badminton and used to be a figure skater and swimmer so I have quite a lot of muscle in my calves. This makes it near impossible to find trousers that fit me because I can never pull them over my calves. Does anybody know anything I can do to reduce the size of them? Also my thighs are where I gather all my fat so they are also very large, any exercises for slimming down the fat around thighs would be very appreciated!

You cannot spot reduce; you need to lose the overall fat layer and that may not be enough. Genetics plays a huge part on where we carry our weight.

You can't spot reduce fat...you just have to lose weight and it will come off from all over. If your thighs are primary fat stores, which they often are for women, it's a first on, last off proposition.

It's also likely that you have a layer of fat over your calves...so losing weight will shrink them to some extent. If you have muscular calves, that can be largely genetic...my wife has the same. You could try to let them atrophy by doing nothing, but I don't really recommend that.

Consider spinning and eat at a deficit.

I feel your pain. I have very curvy legs as well. I usually find something for my thighs but then the waist is too big. And lower legs.. well.. I wish flared trousers would be fashionable again. Really, every pair of nice trousers has tight lower legs. As if being curvy is just not a thing in women :s No, you can't just get rid of muscle. you could decide not to move anymore, but that defeats the purpose of having legs I guess.

Well that's a nice problem to have. I have trouble with finding pants too but not because I'm too muscular, because I'm tall and my waist/hip proportions are apparently not "average." We all have our things I guess.

    First, genetics.

    Second, a balanced diet.

    Third, squats.
