Exercising during heat wave?

Currently 115 degrees where I am. I'm delivering for postmates during the day, so I am in and out of the heat a lot. Keeping myself hydrated and well nourished but I'm definitely feeling the effects of the heat. My body is exhausted. I usually go to my gym in the afternoon but I'm wondering if there's any reason to take it easy in this kind of weather? Gym has A/C of course but I am worried about over exerting myself.

If you feel overheated then rest. It won't hurt for a while if you are still within your calories. You could always take a walk In the evening when it's cooler.0

I agree with rest somewhere cool for now (if the gym is your best bet for A/C, go rest at the gym!). If you're looking at an extended heat wave, consider whether you can change your schedule to go to the gym in the morning, before it's hot and before you've had to be in and out of the heat for work. But if you do that, I would recommend starting with a lighter workout than normal until you see whether it affects how you feel later in the day when you are out in the heat.0

I agree with working out early before it's hot. Hydrate, rest in the heat of the day. You can always try to get out again when the evening is cooler if you want.0

I think you are getting more than enough exercise with your job right now. You say, "My body is exhausted." Listen to your body; get some rest. 😃
I hope you have a nice weekend (and I hope it cools down)!

I cycle in all kinds of weather. Humidity pushes the mercury. I take lots shade breaks and drink a gallon. I also pay attention if I feel light headed or dizzy. And since I do wear a helmet, it does help to wear your hat when out in it. I think one of the things that bothers me more is if I go into an a.c. bldg and back out into the heat, the temperature fluctuation can wreak havoc.
take care of yourself during the heat.1
