Hey guys, so have been recommended to begin strength training programme having reached my desired weight loss yet not my desired bf%, just looking for opinoins on the role of diet here more so than the role of exercise, seen as i've found myself with the skinny fat problem should i be trying to eat primarily whole, natural foods where possible.
This is not to say my diet consists of chocoate, biscuits or sweets it doesn't and where possible i eat as healthy as i can but i do enjoy the odd bit of chocolate or a biscuit in moderation, should i be cutting this to get the body composition i want..
Any advice/other's experiences would be very much appreciated

I'm confused, what are you looking at doing? Reducing your bodyfat %? If so, this is done by one or both of two things, reducing your total fat mass or increasing your muscle mass.
Since you have reached your "goal weight", I would recommend eating above your maintenance levels (and getting adequate protein) while lifting to increase your muscle mass.0 -

Yea i am looking to reduce body fat, i've read a lot on here when people get down to desired weight but are not happy with their shape they should look at recomping and wondering does that involve eating above maintenance while lifting, thanks for the advice.0
