Stopped following the tour after Vladimir Karpets retired. Who's the favorite?

    Yep.

    I`m a Teejay Van G fan.

Not a lot of yanks riding this year.

Gotta like Griepel, Cav, Kittel & Sagan too.

    Sure.

Early days, so plenty of nasty crashes taking too many riders out. Smaller teams make for safer peloton? Not a chance!

Sagan is a favorite for the green jersey. I think the yellow will be hotly contested.

Don’t see Froome losing unless his Giro catches up to him. He’s the best GC rider in cycling.

Yeah, Froome in yellow & Sagan in green is the safe bet for sure.

Anything can happen tho' ..... remember

last year Sagan got railroaded out of the tour for the crash with Cavendish, bad, bad decision.

    Big fan here!

5 American riders this year. Looks like Lawson Craddock is going to be the first American Latourne Rouge.

I'm a big Pete fan - remember last year when he rode too aggressively and got kicked out of the race? - but it's going to come down to Geraint and Chris of Sky, for sure.

Haven't participated in the thread. But, I try to follow the Tour here and there. I think it lost some appeal to me because of all the doping dramas. Saw something yesterday about lead rides getting affected by tear gas used to disperse farmers protesting?

Doping has never occurred in the TdF.

    Never.

And he did! I love him. Sagan too, always impressed. Hope Froome wins yellow though.

    Sagan is nails.

It's probably going to be G. Thomas in yellow when arriving in Paris.

Gotta love Sagan, pretty beat up after yesterday's mishap and the dude finishes 8th in today's stage.

His reaction in yesterday's interview, to the question: Will you race tomorrow? was classic.
