Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone had diet tips for those who have Parkinson's disease. My mother has it and I want to know how other people manage their diet with this disease.

Dietary relevance with Parkinson's Disease - has to do with those taking levodopa-carbidopa & limiting protein intake during the day (bolus at the end of the day) due to impaired uptake of carbidopa-levodopa. Carbidopa-levodopa competes with aromatic amino acid for uptake in the GI tract (this is a saturable process hence the limiting of protein intake). Not always necessary however due to the large dosing range of carbidopa-levodopa0
