Hi all!
I’m not sure if I need to up my calories? I feel like I’m still hungry after I eat dinner. I usually get 10,000-11,000 steps a day when I’m at work. Breakfast is either a protein shake or oatmeal. Lunch is normally a shake and yogurt and banana. Dinner is a meat veggies and a carb. I’m trying to stay at 1200 calories.

You should be eating back exercise cals from your walking.

What are your stats? It's doubtful that 1200 is an appropriate calorie goal.

I’m not sure I chose 1.5 lbs per week. I’ll go back in and readjust it and see what it recommends.

So I adjusted it and put 1lb per week. And it put my calories to 1500. I was trying just to put calories just a little. Like 1300 or 1400.

With that many steps each day, even if your job is sendentary, you are not a sedentary person. I agree with a previous poster and think you should eat back some of those exercise cals. 1200 cals is not enough, try at least going for 1400 or 1500. You should not be starving in the evening.

You're not sedentary so you should be eating more for that many steps. I know the immediate impulse is to reject the idea of eating more calories because you don't think you'll lose weight with that. As long as your food logging is accurate you shouldn't be concerned about upping your calories and still staying within a deficit. I promise you'll still lose weight and you'll feel a lot better and more energized by giving your body the food it needs. With so little weight left to lose, increasing them is a smart idea because you'll gradually transition into maintenance. I'm guessing that you're trying to lose fat and not lean muscle, so a smaller deficit is a wise idea in order to preserve the muscle you have.

13lbs is going to come off slowly, even 1lb/week might be a little much. You could try 1300 or 1400 if you want, but it's not going to hurt trying MFP's number for a month and see how it goes. Think of it as a slow transition period to maintenance.
