Workout Choices (Which Level)

I started training September last year after hitting 15st, I have been following T25, I've done the alpha and beta phases a few times, created my own modified versions as well. I did some of the Gamma phase as well.
I have now hit 12st and if I'm being honest T25 is now easy but I do enjoy it, sometimes I can do the videos multiple times if I don't feel pushed enough.
Due to this I have started on Max 30 and its like starting all over again, it wipes me out and is pretty hard but I can do it.
Looking through my workouts (I measure them with a Tickr) I was working off a lot more calories with T25 as I was doing more time wise than I am with Max 30, but I'll go with the idea that I'm going to get fitter with Max 30. I do struggle with bad knees but am managing to get through.
Whats better, burn more calories with T25 doing more (Time wise) or do the Max 30 which is more effort.
I enjoy both but am I wasting my time with Max 30 or will the fitness come and as it becomes easier (I had the same issue with T25 early on)
I'm really stuck as to which way to go. (I also do not want to give up)

I would say don't make it so much about how many calories burned, but make it about improving your general fitness and also about doing the things you like to do.
I'm much more apt to exercise if it's challenging or fun - preferably both!

Really, I think your question is just a matter of personal preference, priorities, and enjoyment. Think through your goals, and which are most important to you (calorie burn, fitness, shorter or longer exercise duration and how that affects enjoyment/life balance, etc.). Then evaluate your workout options against your priorities, and pick.
Or, if Max 30 is wiping you out when you've been used to doing T25, consider (gasp!) alternating them for a while, or otherwise mixing things up.2
