Good Fats vs. Bad Fats

Hi, everyone!

I'm a big fan of eating hemp seeds and Greek yogurt, but I find that with those, combined with the rest of my foods (which tend to be lower in fat for the most part) I am almost ALWAYS over my daily limit for fat intake.

Hemp seeds are my favoured way of getting my Omega 3, 6 & 9 oils, since they hold an almost perfect balance of them (and I don't like fish) and Greek yogurt has an array of health benefits.

My question is, should I care that I'm going over my limit since they're "good fats"? Any tips, advice, or info is appreciated!

Fat goals should be considered a *minimum* not a maximum, especially if you are eating in a deficit. I aim for 0.35g of fat per pound of body weight. (For me that means a minimum of 72 grams a day, but I sometimes go to 100 or more.)
  • The only fats you should be concerned about going over are poly saturated fats. Everything else is relative :)
