Snacks/Timing

What are some easy healthy snacks that you would recommend for weight loss? And should I be eating them before or after working out? Looking for lower carb snacks with protein if possible. I struggle to completely cut out carbs but love things like Nutri-Grain bars or something sweet like that.

Eat what you like, when you are hungry. If you like carbs, eat carbs.
Calorie deficit for weight loss, and meal timing is irrelevant unless you are an elite athlete.

my go to snacks: cheese string, laughing cow low quarters, almonds, apples.
i don't time my snacks around workouts. My workouts tend to be before meals at the moment (at lunch before i eat, before dinner...). I have one run that is done sorta late dinner time so I have a small smoothie a few hours before and eat the rest of my dinner after (I manage the calories to make that one meal)
I choose to not worry about carbs. They are not that crazy in my macros anyway (a bit higher as I eat a lot of vegetarian type proteins)0 -

Eat before or after working out. It does not matter
Possible low carb snacks: bacon, cheese, olives, pickles, nuts, hard boiled eggs, ham, roasted edamame,
zucchini chips, kale chips, meat balls,

There are no snacks recommended for weight loss, just like there are no specific foods that make you fat or help you lose fat/weight. Eat what you like, when you like, making it fit in to your calorie goal. I personally find avoiding snacks completely helps as I get more calories to put towards my meals which helps me feel satisfied.1

Listen to your body. For me the key was avoiding blood sugar crashes (akin to the "hangry" thing). Once I knew that rhythm, I could eat a strategic snack (in my case: low GL) BEFORE that happened and keep things pretty even. With that, eating at a deficit was easier.0

I'm the dissenter here I guess, I think it matters. You can find "experts" who swear both ways.
I get enough complex carbs BEFORE workout yo make the difference between "surviving" a workout, and powering through one. Usually that's oatmeal and a banana or apple.
Then train hard for hour and change.
Then make the following meal some simple carbs (feed the muscle glycogen) and high protein (I actually like chicken breast and peanut butter).
The split meals actually helps too, since I'm not stuffed OR hungry.0 -
My go to protein snack is beef jerky. I make my own so can control the ingredients.0

Try the one brand protein bars almond bliss flavor and maple doughnut. I've always HATED protein bars but these really hit the spot and fufill my sweet tooth! The protein helps keep me full throughout the day too.0
