I say pecan some say it peecan

Someone asked about this yesterday and there are so many ways to say this word. I couldn't even decide what I say because I never really talk about them I just eat them!
I think I say Peecon or maybe Pihcon

I live in the South, cannot ever get around hearing Peecaan Pie.

Coming to the USA from Canada there are many words or things that don't exist here. And lots of long I pronunciations down here. Sometimes long A is used. The word quasi for examples. Plus I still tend to say eh a lot, apparently.

On really hot nights, I chill my pillow in the freezer.

    That also works with shirts.

I am not sure I comprehend what I am supposed to say, but I will add this:

I put things in the microwave at odd numbers. Things do not cook for 20 sec or 25 sec. I set it for 23 or 17 or 1:33

My volume setting in my car has to be an odd number or a multiple of 3.

    When I microwave things, it's the same number (i.e. 2:22 or 3:33) or numbers in a row (i.e. 1:23 or 2:34)

When I load the dishwasher, all the forks go in the same silverware compartment. No spoons allowed. The spoons go in their own compartment as well. Makes it easier to put everything away once it's clean.

Noooooooo!!! Nested silverware doesn’t get clean :confounded:

    I can't handle it.
My parents toss the silverware all together in the last compartments and then there are hardly any up front.
I have to make it even.... and put spoons in upside down and right side up, so they don't nest.

The "T" is silent. It's always been silent and anyone that pronounces the "T" is wrong!

My grandmother adds and S to the end of almost every store name.

    "Need anything from Walmarts?"
    "Going to Kmarts"
"Can you drive me to Adult Sexmarts?"

    She's the worst.

I say dinner but I like the word "supper". Saying Supper makes me think I'm in the 1800's eating chicken dumplings.

There is a finance expense spreadsheet at work that has a statement, "Please totalize the report if more than 1 page."
Wait......totalize? What????? I so want to hack into our server and correct it.

And don't even get me started on mixed metaphors. :D

Agreed, it's hard to say supper if there is not some sort of fried food and a side of corn bread for the meal. It just seems wrong.
