Website vs. Package Info?

Hate to say it, but MFP does not have a great search engine for its forums, so sorry if this has been done to death.

When logging food to my diary, I was going to use the package nutritional information, but it seems that some people use the package and some use the food manufacturer's website based on what comes up when I do, "Add Food".

I realize consistency is the key when logging, but, I'm curious about how others handle this type of discrepancy?

BTW: I used the package info since some changes to the recipe may have been done between the time it was packaged and the food manufacturer's website was updated.

There's a few things you can do in situations like that. You can keep searching for a different entry that has the correct information that matches the package you have on hand. If there isn't one, you can either edit the entry with the nutritional information you have right in front of you or create your own entry!

I would go by the package info. Some prepackaged foods have been known to change thier recipes, so an entry that was correct 3 months ago is now incorrect.
