Is going 130 calories over my weekly calories (10500) a big deal or should I let it go? I just don’t want an excuse to overeat. Also my period is starting next week so maybe that’s why I’m more hungry...

    130 calories over a week?

NOT a big deal at all. What are you trying to lose, 1lb a week? If so, you are at a 3500 calorie deficit. 130 calories would be 3.7% of a pound, so instead of the hypothetical pound, you'd lose 0.963 pounds. And it never ever works exactly like it's supposed to.

I’m trying to lose 0.5lbs a week so I don’t see the scale drop for weeks. I only have 9kg/20lbs to lose and due to my PCOS it’s going even slower.

I agree, its definitely nothing to worry about!

Remember: Your aiming to be as close to target as possible. Completing your week, a few calories either side of said target is great!

Your target of 1,500 calories per day is your target, what you should be aiming for. You dont need to stay under it, but to be as close as possible. Long term if it fluctuates by a few calories either way, it averages out and won't effect your weight loss in a negative way.

In your case this extra 130 calories, gave you a daily intake of 1518.5 calories, only 18.5 calories per day over. This means you had a great week and should be pleased, certainly nothing to worry about.

So that makes your overall deficit for the week 1620 calories. In the long run it's not a big deal.

I don't really start considering myself over until I am at 20 percent or greater of my deficit.

Okay so what margin should I use? Plus or minus how much percentage from 10500. Is +\- 0.01% a good idea? That’s about 105 calories +\-
Mentally I find it hard with numbers and I will freak out if I go over. I want to be more flexible but don’t know how.

If that were a good idea then you would still "freak out". People are telling you it is no big deal so why start with a number so small?

The numbers we use are estimates and averages. You don't burn the same amount each day and the calories you log for food are averages. None of it is exact. Anyone who counts calories is using a system that is effective because it is close enough and it has a decent buffer until you get down to the final pounds.

I forget how the quote @anvilhead uses goes but it is something like don't let perfection get in the way of good enough.

"Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough."

    Very close. :)
