21 pounds down!

Hello all! My name is Heather and I’m new to the MFP community. I cut hair for a living and I’m getting married in October!! I really focused and started this journey back in May, but all it took was for a friend to say she could tell I’ve lost some weight...and it the beginning it was 5 pounds just from making the simple change of, bringing my own food to work. That was the push of encouragement I needed to get going.

I started being more self conscious about what I eat through out the day, learning and tweaking as I go. You have to do what works for you, right? As last week I have officially lost 21.4 pounds since May! Just from eating right and making better decisions. I don’t work out...not yet anyway. Tuesday night will be my first night at the gym, and I’m open to suggestions.

Looking forward to making some friends to keep the motivation going!

Thank you!! It really does. I’ve never been a negative person, but it’s crazy how your outlook changes when you start making better decisions for yourself. I now understand “lifestyle change” more, right now, then I ever did.

Thank you so much!! I actually did my workout at home today! It felt good to finally add it into my routine. It’s amazing how much easier it is to push yourself when you’re a little lighter 😀

Fantastic! What a difference it is when exercise feels good instead of like a chore. Wishing you many more good workouts!
