I was feeling really drained today, so I had to increase my intake. Listening to my body. My calorie intake was around 1200, but now that I’m running & working out almost daily I can feel my body saying it needs more fuel.

Well yeah, because 1200 is the NET goal, meaning when you exercise you should be eating some of those calories back. It’s also the minimum calorie target recommended for women, and it’s also lower than is necessary for most people to lose weight.5

Love your "listen to your body" mindstate. Definitely eat more if you feel overly hungry/fatigued and under energized. Fuel your performance. Something lost on most people. Your body will tell you more than a scale can.0

1200 calories isnt the most appropriate calorie goal for a lot of people2

Since I have started posting here I have truly learned to hate the number 1200. When used inappropriately it comes across to me as a punishment to pay for gained weight and the food choices associated with it are often devoid of joy.2
