Yea did not have any self control by the looks of my calorie intake... I went over tonight by -487 calories.. What. In. The. Heck. did I eat tonight?? Well I had McDonalds... It was late and I had 580 calories left to use for Dinner, so I had a Big Mac (540) pretty good I was proud, then I made a bad choice.... I had a fry just 1 then that tiny fry(or not so tiny fry) turned in to a full on medium box of fries and ketchup.. Then as if that is not bad I had chocolate.
Well tomorrow is a new day, and set backs happen. Lesson for today don't touch the dang fries..
P.S. I'm still going to have chocolate. Chocolate makes me a happy person. lol

What do you have MFP set to lose per week? If it's 1 pound, you've still only eaten at maintenance - no damage done. If it's 1.5 or 2 pounds, you're still in a deficit, just less of one1

I am set to lose 2lbs, so it was a bummer.0

2 pounds might be too aggressive for you, thus the temptation to overeat. What are your stats and how much do you want to lose?
But that's actually less of a bummer, because at at 2 pounds, your daily deficit is calculated at 1000 calories (until you hit the 1200 floor) so 500 calories over still leaves you under maintenance for the day.0 -
I am set to eat 1200. Sw is 225, currently weight is 220 first goal is 180, final goal 135. I haven't felt super hungry, I think I just liked the salt today.0

If I may suggest something, I think you should
stop relying on self control
plan your meals
stop feeling bad for eating
stop being proud for eating (or not eating) certain things
stop demonizing foods you like6 -

Beating yourself up over not meeting your goals isn't a good weight loss strategy. Part of the process is learning how to cope with mistakes without getting down about them. (((Hugz))) You've got this!0

I urge you to reconsider your approach.
Given your SW, setting your calories at 1200 has got to be a tremendous strain on your system both in terms of body and mind. The best plan for losing weight is a plan you will actually follow.
Agree that there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Big Mac or fries and that any one meal can be no more than a bump in the road.
But there’s a lesson here. Trying to impose a food austerity program, and then heading into McDs to tough it out, is just asking for trouble. Please believe me. Weight loss saved my life. I lost a lot, and maintained quite a while. I’ve always tried to find the easy way.
Give yourself more time. Try to find the weight loss sweet spot where you get regular losses over time but are eating enough to allow you to live with it. Slow and steady.2
