1 2 3 which fat for me?

I always thought saturated fats were bad and poly and mono were good or better but why does MFP only give me a goal for saturated ??? So I keep seeing negative percentage for the other two...

The goals for poly and monounsaturated fats should read N/A for not applicable because there is no maximum goal for these fats other than staying within your total fat goal. Some time ago MFP switched it from N/A to zero and never switched it back. Ignore it. Have as many of those as you want within the rest of your nutrition goals.3

The amount for saturated is a suggested limit, not a goal. The others don't have a limit.1

Ok..that kind of makes sense but not really. Since poly and mono unsaturated fats are very healthy wouldn't it be worth knowing them? Along with separating out trans fats.1

You can track them, but MFP uses national guidelines, and there are no national guidelines (like an RDA or suggested limit) for unsaturated fat, so there is no standard for them to suggest.1 -

There is currently no amount set for mono and poly fats by any recognized health organization whereas for those other things, there are.
There's also a lot more recent research that would suggest that saturated fats aren't really as bad as once thought, but the jury is still out on that.2
