yellow split peas and split soy bean - how to tell apart?

I have been buying bags of what I believed to be yellow split peas. They were labeled yellow bean (translated from Thai), and according to my wife, they were definitely not soybeans.
However, in another store I found what looks exactly the same, which is labeled split soybean (in both English and Thai).
Do these two products just look extremely similar, or is one of the bags mislabeled?

Well, in Chinese, yellow bean = yellow soy bean, although I'm not sure if I've ever seen them whole (just as a paste).
In any case, I would not expect something labelled yellow bean in English to be yellow split pea.

My grandpa grew soybeans and this is what his crop looked like:

Soy beans aka edamame are green and a different size/shape.0 -
I'm going to further muddy the waters by bringing up chana dal - yellow split chickpeas
