Net Carbs on Keto?

I’m beginning a Keto diet. I really do need a mid-morning snack and not able to keep something refrigerated. I do pretty well with protein bars and have found Quest bars. The carb count is 25 grams with 15 grams of fiber. I believe that equates to 10 grams net carbs, but the package claims, “4 net carbs”. 1. WTF? and, 2. How do I record 4 grams in my food diary without creating a custom entry?

According to this article that came up on Google, they subtract sugar alcohols too: https://www.muscleforlife.com/net-carbs/

You can use this script to set up net carbs, but I believe it only works on PCs.

Many just choose to use total carbs and the add a fibre column (in settings) so they can keep track of net carbs that way.

I just go with total carbs. You can always set your total carb goal a bit higher. If your net carb goal was 30 g, you could set a total carb goal of 40 or 50g.

As to the quest bars, as stated, there may be sugar alcohols that they've subtracted.

But net carbs of 4 g from a total carb of 25 g seems optimistically rounded down to me.

if you do a search for "quest bar net carbs", a lot of entries will come up that have already been created by other users. hopefully one of those has all the other details accurately recorded and you can use that :)
