Do any one has suggestions on how to lose weight when you get to 200lbs? I’ve never weighed this much and I workout and eat right and the weight doesn’t really go any where, I’m so lost on what I should do

Burn more calories than you consume, it really is that simple.
Plug your stats into MFP and select the amount of weight that you want to lose per week, and then it will tell you how many calories to consume in order to achieve that goal.9 -

You can be "eating right" but still eating too much to lose weight. It all comes down to caloric deficit.9

Different people find different things that work for them, it's going to depend on your personality.
My tricks were finding meal timing that worked for me (I like three big meals, no snacks), making sure I'm eating stuff each day that I really enjoy, and pre-logging (planning all my meals the day before).
If you share why you overeat, we may be able to provide you with some tips.3 -

Pre-planning and pre-logging meals goes a long way. Many newer users will post a "HELP I ONLY HAVE 120 calories left for the day and its 2pm!" thread before they learn to appropriately manage their calories. I try to make sure I have a plan for at least one full day in advance and often a few days are already logged. This helps me to make decisions about what to eat when I'm not actively hungry. It may take some time to develop the habit but I've found it to be a valuable one.
Beyond that, there's an element of taking ownership of the situation. IMO, you can't rely 100% on trying to trick yourself into making positive changes; you have to want and commit to the process to at least some degree.1 -

Use a food scale to weigh everything you eat.

Most of the time I snack throughout the day, I snack a lot and that’s my biggest issue and I don’t really know what’s good to eat or how to meal prep, and I for. Know what’s the best exercises to do as far as legs, arms and stomach fatjanejellyroll wrote: »qrcathey91 wrote: »Any suggestions on how to not over eat ?

If snacking was causing me to overeat, I'd try to figure out why. Is it because my meals aren't satisfying enough? Is it because I am choosing higher calorie foods for my snacks and this is causing me to eat too much? Is it because I've got too much really tempting snack food around and I haven't yet developed the will power I need to be able to consistently avoid it?
I have also struggled with snacking and overeating. I found it was way better for me to eat three big satisfying meals so that I don't need to snack. If I don't start, I don't have trouble stopping. This may not work for everyone, but it worked well for me.
If your snacks are starting from genuine hunger but you're continuing to eat more than you really need because of the foods you're choosing, it may help to try a snack that isn't very calorie dense. If I'm truly hungry between meals, I'll snack on something simple like a salad dressed with a very low calorie dressing or some raw vegetables (you don't have to choose these, these are just the low calorie snacks that I've developed). That way I eat just what I need to stop feeling hungry and I don't feel tempted to overeat.
And sometimes we're in situations where we want to snack just because we're surrounded by food that we love. I handle this by incorporating it into my meals and sticking to my calorie goal. So if I'm at work and someone brings in some candy that I want, I'll add some to the end of my lunch. If my husband decides to make some guacamole in the afternoon, I'll have some . . . but it will be my appetizer before dinner.
What's good to eat? The stuff you enjoy eating that fits your lifestyle and helps you meet your nutritional needs in serving sizes that fit your calorie goals. You don't have to meal prep -- you can do it if it makes it easier for you, but there are so many people here who are successful and never ever prepped a single meal (I don't really meal prep unless eating dinner leftovers the next day for lunch counts).7 -
You can snack through out the day. Provided it is in your calorie allowance for the day. And every bit of it has been put on the scale, and bagged and measured. I for one have about 3 snacks per day. But here is the key. My snacks are part of my overall calories for the day. Not on top of calories for the day. And all are bagged actually on Sunday. I have found for me, that if I do all of my prep stuff on Sunday it keeps me focused for week. It can be done, and is not that hard. A bit of a change in how you do things. Good Luck.6

Yes I track them most days not everyday like I should but one I do track a lot of times I don’t meet the calorie goals of the day and when I do I think I over some of my goals like carbs, fats and sugarsAre you tracking your calories? If so, how many calories are you consuming per day?

That is one of the best get-you-started threads out there. What was confusing?!?
I'm going to guess it was more of a TL;DR thing, right? Go back and read ALL of it.

If you are really trying to lose weight you need to track everyday and track accurately. Get a food scale and use it to measure portions.8 -
One good piece of advice I read on here years ago was when it gets to about 8pm and you've eaten your daily calories brush your teeth. I don't know about you but I don't wanna taste NOTHING once I've brushed!3

Any suggestions on how to not over eat ?
Everyone is different but for me, I use portion control containers. I measure out everything. I also use salad plates. Once I portion everything out, I put my leftovers in containers and in the refrigerator. Once I sit down and eat, I am usually satisfied. It’s really helping me to learn what a true serving really is. A bonus is I love what I am eating and feel full and content with my serving sizes.3 -
Work on one thing first food or exercise cause you sound overwhelmed. Food..... to lose weight calories matter most so focus on being at or under your calorie target and worry about macros later. Do try to get a good amount of protein. Exercise..... there are lifting plans in the fitness tab or it's just as simple as walking. Exercise won't help you lose weight though if eating more than burning so you should worry about food first0
