Hi,
I've heard of this site for a while but finally joined. I've been hiding for the first month or so.
It's time for me to lose weight. I'm 5 foot, 6 inches tall and am over 200 lbs. Which I'm not happy about.
I'm 43 years old, work full time, am married and have 2 kids (ages 5 and 3.75) My husband is gluten free, dairy free and soy free, with limited refined sugar (defined as cane sugar/HFCS or their assorted derivities) in our house) so meals at our house get interesting.
I joined a gym in April but only recently started going regularly. Part of the problem is lack of time. I'm working on forcing myself to go. It's getting easier.

Welcome to MFP! I wish you success on your weight loss journey. Wow, gluten & dairy-free plus low sugar? Only tip I have for you is to plan meals and find health grocery stores in your area.0 -

Yeah, DH pretty much manages his own diet/cooking/shopping. Which includes shopping at 3-4 different stores a week. But it's been a weird journey for us. He offers his stuff to the kids and sometimes they accept, sometimes not. Often the same food on different days...0
